The "Independent" Press

Been reading a google-book regarding the way in which tax-exempt foundations and internationalist-minded elite rich like the Rockefellers have funded the social engineering that has shaped our culture and society.

The book is: Mass Control: Engineering Human Consciousness

On page 42, I came across this quotation from Journalist John Swinton, giving a toast to the New York Press Club in 1953. Supposedly, Swinton was one of the most respected journalists of his time, and he was asked to toast the "independent" press of America.

His toast:

There is no such thing at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press.

You know it and I know it.

There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone.

The business of journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. you know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press?

We are the tools of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men.

We are intellectual prostitutes.

Wonder if his fellow journalists applauded his toast, eh?

This was back in 1953...think anything's changed for the better with regards to our mainstream press?

HL, it may be time to stop paying attention to this stuff. You'll feel much better. I honestly think most of this stuff is made up, made to seem legitimate, and made to constantly keep people wasting their lives trying to figure something out that cannot be figured out!

Intelligent people require intelligent propaganda and I'm sure some very creative writers have been hired to work for the Govs of the World.

Forget about this nonsense. Life is short.

Oh, I disagree Mark. As the movie the Matrix gave us such a great allegory...I'm in the process of taking the red pill and trying to get as many others as possible to take it too.

Too many people are content to take the blue pill and forget about just how FUBAR our society has become.

Holy crap, HL. I can't believe that guy had the sac to say that.

And reading Gatto's Underground History of American Education, one definitely comes away with the impression that charitable foundations and the like are definitely involved in the business of social engineering.

Lastly, Mark's comment, for evil to triumph, good men must do nothing. Yes, crawling into our caves would be easier and more comfortable. But we'd be worse off for it.

I quit journalism when I came to the same realization as he did. I quickly found that people regard journalists as their enemies, and the fact that many are intellectual prostitutes are the main reason. Things are definitely a lot worse now than they were back in 1953, and most journalists are nothing more than unwitting or in some cases willing shills for the NWO banker cabal. I wouldn't speak to journalists regarding anything that can make things worse for me or mine. Is it any wonder that journalists are often kidnapped, or killed in many regions of the world as suspected or known enemy agents?
