No Shit

Here's a great little vignette of Election 2012 Propaganda that is about 99% factual:

Free Shit

The folks who are getting free shit, don’t like the folks who are paying for the free shit, because the folks who are paying for the free shit can no longer afford to pay for both the free shit and their own shit.

The folks who are paying for the free shit want the free shit to stop, and the folks who are getting the free shit want even more free shit on top of the free shit they are already getting!

Now… The people who are forcing the people to pay for the free shit have told the people who are RECEIVING the free shit, that the people who are PAYING for the free shit, are being mean, prejudiced.

So… The people who are GETTING the free shit have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free shit by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free shit, and giving them the free shit in the first place.

We have let the free shit giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free shit than paying for the free shit.

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded.

The reason? The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
Thomas Jefferson said it best: “The democracy (Republic) will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 236 years ago .

The number of people now getting free shit outnumbers the people paying for the free shit.

....oh wait, you're not done?

We have one chance to change that On Nov 6th, 2012 .

Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.
A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

I was gonna write my own screed...then I remembered. Been there, done that already.

Commenter ncognito1959  was even more succinct:

I would like to know what we can really change in this next election, given that it is either Romney or The Big O?

With dems we get butter & guns, with repubs we get guns & butter.

Free shit is dispersed in more places than just social programs.

Donkeys or Pachyderms? Escape the zoo.

It really doesn't matter one whit if Oromney the Republicat wins or if Robama the Democan wins. Voting in our Brave New World Order is the equivalent to flipping a coin. No matter which side comes up, it's heads they win, tails we lose.

Going by the 200-250 year time limit of democracy, we are looking at future historians giving the US a roughly 2030 end date. That doesn't mean it will be a sudden catastrophic demise, it could be a slow bleed, but it will probably happen around then.

It's not true that it doesn't matter one whit. It does matter. Not enough, sure, but Romney is the lesser of two evils. Maybe it's only a marginal difference, but victory happens at the margins. It's foolish to think voting for Romney will solve our problems, but it's also foolish to ignore the whole thing.

It costs almost nothing to vote for Romney, it's a free action that will move the needle a step, a half step, maybe just a slight lean, in the right direction. Don't pass up minor victories like that.

Because it's almost certain that we're coming to the end of something very soon. The entire Blue Model of US society is collapsing and will be replaced by something else. We are indeed playing for the next round, for the rebuilding, from however deep the crater ends up being.

Romeny over the next four years won't stop the crater from happening, but I'm certain his presidency will set us up better for what comes after than another 4 years of Obama.

Apple closed today at 665.00..maybe would not have to give people so much free shit if they had a few plants here.

LOL, you're assuming rather naively that voting is actually a transparent, incorruptible process and that the will of the people (whatever that means) actually counts.

Couple that with the delusion that Socons are really some improvement over Libtards, and it shows you haven't paid any attention to the news. Really, was Bush Jr some great step above Clinton or Obama? Romney and his sidekick Ryan won't change matters either.

Both parties are owned by Wall Street and work for Corporate America's interests alone.

Jakob Burckhardt said it even better than Thomas Jefferson. The demise of a government (nation), regardless of its form of government or economic system, begins when the distinction between the political and the social collapses.

As the government engages further into social engineering, interest groups rise to impose their own wills on society. Then the national interest becomes submerged against competition of groups vying for control. Those interest groups show greater loyalty to their respective interests than loyalty to the nation.

First anonymous, don't forget that Romney is not only owned by Wall St., but also Israel. He will drag us into another unwinnable war ASAP.

Don't forget that a huge oil reserve has been recently found off the coast of Israel. Which might have a lot to do with sudden 'upsrisings' in Egypt, Libya, and Syria. I wouldn't be surprised if an 'Israeli Spring' was next.

Wall Street really doesn't care who runs what country, as long as they own the leadership.

The choice is boils down to The Apple Dumpling Gang or Oceans 11 for this November. Either way the people are getting robbed.

Yup, becuse either way it lands, the future is only going to give you "a quarter" of what you earn so either of their lackeys can get "free shit."

Keoni - Do you vote? Or do you completely abstain?

The abortion issue makes it hard for me to choose not to vote.

FYI---repealing Roe v. Wade was adopted as a Republican Party plank at the 1974 GOP Convention. Four Republican presidents, 12 years of Republican control of Congress, and 16 years of 'conservative' Supreme Courts later: and things are worse, not better.

My comment must be stuck in moderation, given the links; I would have thought that proving to Blogger that I'm not a robot would have let it through. Ah well.

I want to make one comment--you say something that throws me. I've lived in MA under Romney and he isn't Obama. I've noticed this of late--the Obama people are so scared that they're not going to get re-elected because the guy is a fucktard, they've decided to take the tactic of playing it off as "OROMNEY" as if the two are the same. This accomplishes two things--first it tries to confuse the sheep so they figure that either A, it doesn't matter who you vote for (so dumb people will vote for obama cause it's easy and he's already there--no thought), or B. apathetic "Why bother voting, they're the same" and they pick up their toys and go home, and the incumbent will stay home. It's the most educated people, but least educated in politics, that will fall for this
