I don't care for Bush at all ( and McCain would have been a disaster, too) but it is scary how obvious the media have become about the support for Obama. They will be his personal propaganda wing for the next 4 (at least) years and make everything he does look fabulous and blame anything bad that happens on the legacy he inherited from Bush.Lets hope this is the end of the victimhood lottery payouts. I doubt it because even before his election aparachiks where saying something along the lines of: if Obama won, people would say that America is not racist, but we have "systemic racism" (whatever the heck that is) as opposed to just individual racism still. How can an inanimate system be racists? They'll find a way to try to convince us of that if there is a big enough cash payout for them. You might enjoy this cartoon for today :http://www.reason.com/news/show/129965.html
Hah, that is a good one, mandy. The real point though is, Now that the socialist Obama is President WITH A DEMOCRAT MAJORITY IN CONGRESS...
I've been hoping that if I go back to bed I'll wake up and find out it's all just been a bad dream.....no luck, thus far. I guess the real questiona are when we'll be officially changing our name from The United States of America to The Socialist States of America.....and just how long it will take before people wake up and realize exactly what kind of "change" they voted for.
IMO, the election was about voting in a black, period. In Mexico, I tell friends the president of the USA serves two functions. First, to motivate and energize the citizens, actually Obama is good at that. I think that got him elected, with no thought for the next item. The second thing the president does is supply plans for foreign and domestic affairs. Obama gets large negative numbers for his plans. There is one positive sign. I have been reading his advisors are often the same Clinton had, so they are no more wild than they were then.Anonymous age 66
What can I say? After Bush any candidate should be a better option. If the GOP and the conservative people want to regain control, theymust have to change. They must provide WITH results theycan do a better job.Iraq, Katrina, the economic crisiswas not a good scorecard for theConservatives and the GOP.With this kind of results, all ranting is useless.Arizona Joe
