The Planned Obsolescence of Privacy

We are entering the end times.

No, this is not some post declaring an impending apocalypse, nor am I affirming the accuracy of the Mayan calendar prediction that the end of the world is little over a week away.

I'm referring to the end times of this epoch....a transition of Dystopian Ages.

All the pieces are in place. The Age of Big Brother is nigh.

In a radio interview, Wall Street Journal reporter Julia Angwin (who’s been one of the best at covering the surveillance state in the US) made a simple observation that puts much of this into context: the US surveillance regime has more data on the average American than the Stasi ever did on East Germans.And, of course, as we've already seen, much of that data seems to be collected illegally with little oversight... and with absolutely no security benefit.

To be fair, part of the reason for why this is happening is purely technical/practical. While the Stasi likely wanted more info and would have loved to have been able to tap into a digitally connected world like we have today, that just wasn't possible. The fact that we have so much data about us in connected computers makes it an entirely different world. So, from a practical level, there's a big difference.

That said, it still should be terrifying. Even if there are legitimate technical reasons for why the government has so much more data on us, it doesn't change the simple fact (true both then and now) that such data is wide open to abuse, which inevitably happens.

The ability of government officials to abuse access to information about you for questionable purposes is something that we should all be worried about. Even those who sometimes have the best of intentions seem to fall prey to the temptation to use such access in ways that strip away civil liberties and basic expectations of privacy.

Our freedom has been traded for the security of Big Brother's watchful eye.

Oh, and while we're at it, make sure that whenever you're out in public anywhere in today's Brave New World Order, be sure and SMILE!

So: those spooky new "circular" dark globe cameras installed in your neighborhood park, town, or city—they aren't just passively monitoring. They're plugged into Trapwire and they are potentially monitoring every single person via facial recognition.

In related news, the Obama administration is fighting in federal court this week for the ability to imprison American citizens under NDAA's indefinite detention provisions—and anyone else—without charge or trial, on suspicion alone.

So we have a widespread network of surveillance cameras across America monitoring us and reporting suspicious activity back to a centralized analysis center, mixed in with the ability to imprison people via military force on the basis of suspicious activity alone. I don't see how that could possibly go wrong. Nope, not at all.

Yes, I've noticed these cameras put up all over the place here in the 50th occupied State of USSA Inc.as well. Right now most public places are under their watchful gaze.

The last phase will be getting the eyes and ears of our 21st century, Globalized Stasi into our homes.

The company has filed a patent, published last week, for a system designed to be used in the home to target advertisements at people. Using a combination of image and audio sensors, it would detect actions in your living room while you were watching TV. These sensors, deploying facial and profile recognition, would pick up “physical attributes” like skin color, facial features, and even hair length, and also detect “voice attributes” to help determine the tone of your voice, your accent, and the language you speak. Inanimate objects aren’t off-limits—the technology could also spot beer cans and wall art.

Combined, this would mean that your TV or set-top box would effectively be watching and listening to you while you snuggle up on the couch with your partner to watch the latest episode of Homeland.

Have no fear, Sheeple. Afterall, you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide, right?





There is a common meme I see all over the comment threads of teh MAndrosphere.

Many people breathlessly await the inevitable collapse of society, so that those of us who understand the truth of our situation can begin to rebuild teh Paayttreearrky and put teh Womynz back in their rightful place, bare foot and pregnant, cooking food in teh kitchenz!

Others predict the take over by extreme Patriarchal cultures like the Mooozzzlums.

Many say they CAN'T WAIT!!!!! The modern, progressive Womynz who are strong and independent and don't need the Menz will finally be shown the errors of their ways!

Ya'all are missing something pretty big as you await the collapse. This "collapse" is deliberate, planned, and in the process of gradual implementation.

As a society, we've been slowly and inexorably sliding towards the metaphorical cliff's edge for quite some time.

There will not be some massive realization and re-discovery by teh womynz that they need the menz to protect them from the savagery of a post-apocalyptic landscape.

No, when the "collapse" reaches a catastrophic climax, what will arise from the ashes, will be a technocratic and totalitarian world government that no longer hides behind the illusion of freedom for the masses. Their rule will be Authoritarian, and their power over we the Sheeple, near-complete. Orwell warned us. Huxley warned us. Wells warned us. Quigley too. This is not some dystopian fantasy...

THEY ARE DOING THIS OUT IN THE OPEN AND RIGHT IN OUR FACES.

At this point, to deny this is willful ignorance. Oh wait, I forgot. Ignorance is Strength.

We are in the last days of disappearing freedom.

Enjoy the decline, because at least during this phase, we still have some amount of personal freedom and rapidly diminishing privacy. Once we reach the collapse stage, you won't be allowed to enjoy anything not officially approved and controlled.

But for now, they wait. And of course, they watch.

Why, this sounds like The Protocols 2.0, or the sequel: GLOBAL HEGEMONY COMPLETE.

It is written from a first person point of view, and it's overriding message is this:

Welcome to OUR Brave New World Order, You Sheeple.

You useless eater. Waster of precious natural resources. A blight on the pristine environment.

The horrifying images of two commercial jets slamming into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center largely dominate our memories of 9/11. Yet many people forget about, or never heard of, World Trade Center 7, which was a 47-storey, 200-meter-high skyscraper that was never hit by a jet, yet crumpled to the ground like a house of cards a full 7 hours after the collapse of the North Tower. So let us reiterate: there were three destroyed skyscrapers on 9/11, but just two commercial jets.

Then again, is it not the socially engineered, relativist ideology at it's fundamental root? 1+1 = 2....but if we say 1+1=3, than whose to say otherwise?

But I digress.

The US military is the largest part of this military effort to play Global Police, and has been deployed by Presidential fiat order without the Constitutionally required Declaration of War from Congress on a regular basis since the 1950's.

We have generously taxed you and used that money to make such sophisticated weapons you can in no way compete. Your own money has served to forge the chains we bind you with, since we are in control of all money. Some of you think you may escape by buying some land in the country and growing a garden. Let me remind you that you still pay us ground rent. Oh, you may call it property taxes, but it still goes to us.

You see, you need money no matter what you do. If you fail to pay your ground rent to us, we will take your land and sell it to someone who will pay us. Do you think we cannot do this? And with your ground rent we pay for the indoctrination of your children in the public schools we have set up. We want them to grow up well trained into the system of our thinking. Your children will learn what we want them to learn, when we want them to learn it, and you pay for it through your ground rent.

This is exactly why homeschooling is demonized and marginalized as something only kooky religious fanatics do. (Google: "homeschoolers+are+fundies." to see what I mean.)

This is also why all 50 states have truancy laws to ensure that all kids be subject to WORLD CITIZENRY programming.

We love it when you rebel and blow something up. You are our reason for making more laws against all those things which might contribute to your freedom from us. If someone did not blow something up on occasion, we would have no justification in placing more hedges about you. Can't you see how impossible it is for you to resist us? This past weekend, Jovan Belcher shot his baby's Mama during a moment of heated domestic dispute. Then he went to the Kansas City Chief Team Facilities and thanked the General Manager and his Coaches profusely for giving him a chance as an undrafted free agent to become a starter in the NFL, before walking away from them as they tried to talk to him, and shoot himself dead.

What really happened here? For the corporate mass media machine, it's an increased ratings opportunity. The chance to sell another juicy voyeur fix to feed the vicarious titillation addictions of the spectating masses. It's also another career opportunity for Journalist school graduates and Communication majors to stare earnestly into the camera lenses and emote passionately while they tell their viewing audience what they are supposed to think and feel about the story.

 If the talking heads are memorable enough in their performances, it could mean big things for their career trajectories as mass media personalities. Especially if they follow the creed of 21st century politically correct, progressive idolatry: WWSAD? "Never let a serious crisis go to waste." Never miss a chance to advance another facet of the Population CONTROL agenda!
 

In the aftermath of the nearly unfathomable events in Kansas City, that most mindless of sports clichés was heard yet again: “something like this really puts it all in perspective.” Well, if so, that sort of perspective has a very short shelf life since we will inevitably hear about the perspective we have supposedly again regained the next time ugly reality intrudes upon our games. Please.

Those who need tragedies to continually recalibrate their sense of proportion about sports would seem to have little hope of ever truly achieving perspective. You want some actual perspective on this? Well, a bit of it comes from the Kansas City-based writer Jason Whitlock, with whom I do not always agree, but who today said it so well, that we may as well just quote or paraphrase from the end of his article. “Our current gun culture,” Whitlock wrote, “ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy, and that more convenience-store confrontations over loud music coming from a car will leave more teenage boys bloodied and dead.”

“Handguns do not enhance our safety. They exacerbate our flaws, tempt us to escalate arguments, and bait us into embracing confrontation rather than avoiding it.” “In the coming days, (Jovan) Belcher’s actions” and their possible connections to football, “will be analyzed…. Who knows?” But here, wrote Jason Whitlock, is what I believe: if Jovan Belcher “didn’t possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.”

Why yes, it's "Teh Gunz Culture!" It's not the State sanctioned and subsidized broken homes that create the conditions that make these atrocities regular occurrences in our culture!

I'm mystified. How have I lived for the past 20 years in the possession of a collection of various firearms and all other manner of lethal weaponry, and avoided the irresistible compulsion to shoot, stab, slice, bludgeon and kill any of my family, friends, acquaintances, co-workers and associates who may momentarily annoy or anger me?

Let's take a closer look at the reported situation:

Kasandra Perkins had gone out Friday night with girlfriends to a Trey Songz concert "to take a break," said friend Lynell Diggs. "He [Belcher] didn't want her going out with the baby at home," said Diggs, who was among the group of friends at the concert. Cousin Angela Perkins, who said she spent time at the couple's home both before and after their daughter was born, said the stress of having a baby just before the season and Belcher's constant time away from home for practices and road games "really put a strain" on the relationship. "There was just a lot going on. She was stressed. He was stressed," Perkins said. "It just started to go bad, but they had the child, and they were trying to make it work."

Upon reading this case, the very first thing I thought of was that I bet he was raised in a single mother household, and never learned to control his emotions or temper his masculine aggression.

In a minute's worth of googling my hunch was confirmed:

Belcher told the newspaper he credited his mother, Cheryl Shepard, and three older sisters with giving him support. "My mother is a hardworking woman," he said. "To see her overcome some things and succeed, it makes me look at things and say, 'This isn't even hard.' I didn't really have a father figure, so they provided nice guidance for me."

No surprises here. News reports, commentary and opinion pieces in the mainstream media social engineering machine will always wax poetic about these increasingly common tragedies with bromides like "Questions Remain" and "We may never understand why."

Most of us around these parts know exactly why these things happen regularly in our Brave New World Order's Matriarchy. Every person personally connected with this story is a victim in some shape or form of the real domestic violence occurring today - the destruction of the father headed family by the Feminist driven bureaucracy that supports, upholds and perpetuates the culture of the "alternative family" based on the continued subsidization of the Single Mother Household as the unstable and highly volatile foundation for society.





On a tangential note, Chief's Quarterback Brady Quinn had the best press conference statement on this grim affair:

“The one thing people can hopefully try to take away, I guess, is the relationships they have with people,” Quinn told reporters after the game. “I know when it happened, I was sitting and, in my head, thinking what I could have done differently. When you ask someone how they are doing, do you really mean it? When you answer someone back how you are doing, are you really telling the truth?

“We live in a society of social networks, with Twitter pages and Facebook, and that’s fine, but we have contact with our work associates, our family, our friends, and it seems like half the time we are more preoccupied with our phone and other things going on instead of the actual relationships that we have right in front of us. Hopefully, people can learn from this and try to actually help if someone is battling something deeper on the inside than what they are revealing on a day-to-day basis.”
